"Communication with VM Hypervisor failed"

Removed Virtualbox & Boinc's, [reboot] upgraded to 22.02, reinstalled Boinc's with updates, [reboot] started/stopped Boinc mgr, reinstalled Virtualbox with updates, [reboot]

Now all I get the above VM failure. What am I missing THIS time?

2 platforms running - Win10 with BOINC 7.16.20 [3.0.1], Ubuntu 20.04 with BOINC 7.16.6 [3.0.4].

2 platforms failing - Ubuntu 22.04 with BOINC 7.18.1 [3.0.5]. This is labelled as "BOINC Manager (Pre-release)".

Can I assume that this pre-release version isn't quite ready for 22.02 and I should be installing an older version instead? How is this performed from the CLI?

"sudo apt-get install boinc-manager 7.16" perhaps?

OK, did some digging on the Ubuntu Software desktop applet and found that the install pkg for BOINC-Manager is a failed mess on Ubuntu 22.04, with several postings indicating this.

Basically, if I wish to continue helping I need to NOT upgrade my platforms to the lasted & greatest O/S. Just like in the Windows World.

Thanx for listening, I'll be back in a few months to see if the landscape has changed.

It is probably a problem with the increased security settings for BOINC 7.18.1.

I have seen it on the new BOINC 7.20.0 also when trying to run the Pythons.
