curiosity: I'm still seeing many WUs that are using the "old" Rosetta Beta 5.98
I thought that Minirosetta was able to do everything Rosetta can plus more; now it seems not!
Can some of you explain why are you still using the fortran codebase and not the c++ one?
Thanks in advance!

The v5.98 version of the application is not Fortran-based. But even being C-based, it got messy with several dozen developers periodically contributing to the effort. So Mini was a code revamp (not a conversion), with some changes to how the dependant files are organized and etc.

Beyond that, there must be some science differences as well, or they would not continue with multiple applications. That topic is beyond my knowledge so I will await a reply here along with you.

80% of what can be done in old-rosetta can be done in mini now (Equally though maybe 80% of what can be done in mini can be done in old rosetta) So there are still a number of things that have not yet been ported yet.
