The word genocide taken literally has a very wide scope. It could be encouraging people not to breed, or it could be killing them. Guess what, the second one is a billion times worse, because well.... there's killing involved.

But when most people talk of genocide, they mean the destruction of people, by death, like Hitler gassing Jews. When did I say we should be gassing anyone? In fact I've never even said a particular race should be stopped from breeding, I said unhealthy ones. So not the same whatsoever.

What's happened here is something has triggered a conditioned response in your brain. You see "selective breeding" and invoke all the Hitler synapses. Please try to think more carefully.

I have not bred for two reasons. One, I admit I'm not the best looking fittest healthiest specimen around, so I let the better quality people breed. Two, the world is way too full, we should all be cutting down on breeding. If everyone used a bit of common sense and learned to abstain from having kids every 5 minutes we could have a world that wasn't overcrowded and was full of fit healthy gorgeous people. At least the UK government has stopped giving child benefits to 3rd and subsequent children.

It does not avoid those in child-bearing years. It's just less likely to kill them. But those who it does kill, it means there will be less people born with weak immune systems.

We already have things imposed on us, for example wearing a seatbelt (which only protects you) to save the NHS money. Why would you want to allow people to be born that are going to cost the NHS a lot of money over their lives? Why would you not want the population as a whole to become healthier with each generation? It is your duty in society to improve that society.

My computer just marked 45 tasks as Errors While Computing, all within a few seconds of starting.

There's a vast difference between you personally deciding not to breed for your own reasons and the government imposing decisions about who should not breed for its own reasons. At some point, it becomes a political decision.

It's not such a big jump from deciding who is not fit to breed, to mental defectives, then to certain physical defects, then to Jews, Gypsies and dissidents, to nine million people.

A slippery slope there for sure.
