I don't experience this. I have two computers that do 99% of them ok. I have 5 computers that never do them. Perhaps there's an instruction in CPUs required for a small number, but all my machines are either new enough to have it or old enough to break every one of them. Only your 3800XT and your i5 have AVX so the other machines will all suffer from the Intel MKL crash. |

Agreed. But why do my i5 and 3900XT virtually never have a faulty task?I don't experience this. I have two computers that do 99% of them ok. I have 5 computers that never do them. Agreed. But why do my i5 and 3900XT virtually never have a faulty task? Yeah, that I don't know! My 3700X seems to have more issues than my other machines. Maybe because I use it more. Or maybe these tasks are more sensitive to something like memory errors. |

I find AMD doesn't like Virtualbox, it makes it slow down like crazy. But it doesn't affect the program, just the interface.Agreed. But why do my i5 and 3900XT virtually never have a faulty task? Have you checked your memory is perfect? Bad memory is a very nasty thing to have. Use memtest. I always use this on any new or used memory I buy before I put it into use. |

Yeah I've run memtest on all of my machines - so easy from the start menu in Windows these days. No issues detected though. |

I had to abort a task that was dead with .12% being used on the cpu turns out that was strike 3 had a canceled by server (since when does that count against you?) a computation error (their fault) and my abort. 2022-04-15 13:22:17 (15696): Detected: BOINC client v7.16.20 2022-04-15 13:22:19 (15696): Detected: VirtualBox VboxManage Interface (Version: 6.1.32) 2022-04-15 13:22:20 (15696): WARNING: Communication with VM Hypervisor failed. robertmiles wrote:Virtualbox has the old vbox, which handles 32-bit programs Thank you. It looks like Cosmology@Home ran out of space to write this in the other place where I expected it to appear. I'm now back after a week with no internet access. My computer has both the 64-bit and the 32-bit versions of VirtualBox installed. It runs 64-bit vbox apps. |

It's a separate program. If you can reach the command line while no Virtualbox task is running, Try entering vbox to test if the 32-bit version can be found. If the program starts, try entering exit to see if this will shut it down. For a similar test for the 64-bit version, enter vbox64 instead. |

Yes I know how to get a command line. But I assumed this was the wrong place as:Not sure what you mean. Where do I enter this? I'm running Windows 11. C:Userspeter>vbox 'vbox' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. C:Userspeter>vbox64 'vbox64' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. (Note the backslashes have been removed because this forum is a piece of shit) |
