I cant seem to find where the proxy settings are actually stored. I would like to automate the installation process, so far the xml files I have can be distributed to other machines telling BOINC to connect to Rosetta, but the proxy settings still have to be defined manually. Any ideas where these are stored? |

I don't know the answer to your specific question. But here is the process I've seen to install multiple machines with the same configuration. I believe if you rolled it out this way, you'd have ALL of the files, and there I presume it would resolve your proxy issue as well. Setting up configuration to be copied Install many under single ID script to attach to project Could I ask you to post your results here? The Rosetta volunteers plan to start work on making an easy to install CD and/or process, and proxy will be a concern for some environments. So, your feedback will help with that down the road. hamlesh, looks like you're crunchin' great now! 85 new machines crunchin' Rosetta! That's great! Might I ask? How did you hear about Rosetta and decide to devote 85 machines to the project? Also, what solution did you use for the Proxy question? Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. Did you sort it out (and which method) I also see your racing up the charts :-) How are you monitoring them all? How are you going to upgrade them all to Boinc 5.4.x ? Team mauisun.org |
