I have a G5 Dual Processor running osx 10.4 server. How can I configure my server to run BOINC when the server when noone is logged on. |

Actually it might run fine when the server is active. BOINC is designed to yield to ANY other application that want to run. Active user requests are a higher priority than BOINC as are user processes, so BOINC should have almost no effect on the server when it is active. But you could set your user preferences to only run during certain times of the day (when the server is inactive), and then set the BOINC client to run using the preferences you have set. The setting for run times are in your preferences setting here at Rosetta, the run using preferences is in the BOINC pulldown "Commands" menu listed as "Run based on preferences" Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |
