I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on an I5-3570 @3.4 GHz with 16 GB of memory. Is there anything I need to do before I allow Windows to update itself? |

I've never bothered to do anything with BOINC when Windows is doing updates. Grant Darwin NT |

The BOINC Manager can be closed, but it keeps running the tasks. So, there is an "exit" option to ask it to shut everything down. But it is not required. If multiple-reboots are required, it would be ideal to not have BOINC start briefly, only for the system to end again. If a task restarts more than 4 or 5 times, without making any progress, it gets ended prematurely. So if BOINC doesn't get started and ended a couple times in the middle, it leaves your counter sort of back at one. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
