I posted this on Rosetta café before finding this forum. In my computer's resource monitor Rosetta is eating up 7 out of my 16 gig of memory. With all other processes included, I'm at 1 gig free and it's definitely affecting my computer's performance. And a Rosetta project isn't even running (a World Community Grid project is running). You've gotta fix this or I'll have to unplug the Rosetta project. Thanks, JF |

I'm probably misunderstanding which current project is running. Rosetta must be running. But the memory issue is definitely there. |

Okay, I read the FAQ and adjusted my memory settings (they weren't in the BOINC configuration page). So I'm probably okay at the moment. |

There are a number of dials to control things. If you still find the machine sluggish or swapping, I would suggest posting on the Number Crunching board with both your objectives (such as "I need to use the machine for other work during the business day") and your observations (such as how many tasks your are running concurrently, how much memory they are consuming, etc.) Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
