Hi, As a feature request I would like to pose the preference to limit the application to use only a certain % of the cpu. With some testing I could come to a level where I do a lot of processing, but my cpu fan doesn't need to speed up. I know I should just buy me a more silent fan, but not al of us are willing to spend additional hardware on projects like this. Kind regards -r- |

Rosetta doesn't assign CPU time, BOINC does, so this is really more of a request for BOINC to implement than Rosetta. In the meantime, there is an add-on called Threadmaster that allows you to establish maximum CPU % of various tasks. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |
