Hello Co-Rosetta-Users, one thing i notice in the graphics-window as well as in the screensaver mode: the text explaining what the current work-unit is all about (below the graph) starts in the first line but doesn't wrap to the second line. Therefore i cant't read the complete message. example: currently my computer displays "This work unit is working on a CASP 7 target! You are currently folding a sequence that has very close seque" The rest of the sentence is - yeah i don't know where, outside the window... Does anyone know if this is a current bug? Or do i have to make a certain setting (where?) I am using Rosetta@home v5.13 Any hint is really appreciated! Kind regards, Reinhart |

They just added the message to help keep you informed about what your PC is working on. You are working on one of the proteins given out by the CASP! So, perhaps your PC will be the "explorer" that finds the "lowest valley" as Dr. Baker explains it. Since the message is new, there are still apparently a few "kinks" (pardon the protein folded pun!) with it. It is running fine. Just a quirk with the font size or something. I'm sure they'll work it out shortly. Nothing for us to fix on our end. The work unit log mentioned that one of the sequences CASP gave out for analysis was very similar to a well-known sequence. Welcome to Rosetta! If you have other questions, be sure to post. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |

So of course it's ok if there are some "quirks with the font"! You are right: the rest is running fine. Rosetta is a good method to reduce my computers boring life as a pure text-processing-unit :-)) have a nice mothers day! Regard Reinhart |

In BOINC folders - Projects - Rosetta - you will see "Description Text File" in among all the other files - this file gives the full text for each work unit. |

You should see it show up as the newer work units work their way into the system. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |
