Hi Deborah! Would you and your guys fancy a quick field trip over here to the UK? If not I'm sure there has to be someone nearer to you in the US of A..... Seriously - when the article is done, can you please let us all know where we can hear it or at least get a transcript? ![]() ![]() |

Deborah - you'd probably be safer stating what you consider "reasonable" driving distance than trusting to our judgement. *grin* I know that Kodiak, Alaska is a wee bit out of the "reasonable" driving range - especially as the 12 hour ferry ride from Homer or Seward isn't the puddle jump you're used to travelling to Whidbey Island.. :) Is Bremerton, Bellingham, or Pomeroy too far? |

Hopefully, each of the teams will take your request back to their own forums and ask if any of their members live near Seattle and are interested in helping increase awareness and interest in the project. Perhaps one of the highly competitive groups that are involved in one of the recent BBQs (team taunting) would explain the fun we can have in team competitions. |

Deborah, clearly people would like to help, but apparently the limited geography is limiting the number of people that can offer to do it. Also, it would take a fair level of experience to feel comfortable addressing the questions you will bring up in an interview. ...or I suppose they've contacted you directly with your contact info. Would you consider doing a phone interview? And, just curious, would this be for your local station? Or for NPR nationally? It's just that from the 60-70.000 Rosetta participants, very few actually check these bulletin board regularly, e.g. my esitmate is that this topic has been read by ~30 people. We could make it sticky for a while, in the hope more people will see it. Best UFO Resources Wikipedia R@h How-To: Join Distributed Computing projects that benefit humanity |

Page views doesn't equal unique persons. Everytime we click a thread, re-read what was said, or we post in it and reload etc, the "page views" counter gets incremented. In this particular thread, I must have contributed at least 10 "views" from the current 180+ page views myself. I have put links back to this thread on CPDN, Einstein, HashClash, LHC, PrimeGrid and QMC message boards. Let's see if anything comes from those..... ![]() ![]() |

Nice piece Deborah. I only wish you'd given folks info. on how to get started. I do see on the website though there is a link to Rosetta. So, I guess if they are interested, they might check there.
