I currently have only one machine set up, running Rosetta 100% 24/7 since 6/07/06. The credits seem to be coming through fine a couple times a day (average turnaround time is .65 days) but the results always show 15. I know for sure the machine has done probably twice that may WU's. Not necessarily a big deal, just curious. |

Hi, ten2the17th, and welcome aboard. All projects try to avoid any server load that is unnecessary. Massive directory loads have troubled SETI more than once. In the case of Rosetta, it would be unnecessary to keep them on disk for a longer time than about a week, as there are no results to check yours against [like in Seti@home with their initial replication of 4 identical WUs]. That gives you enough time to look at them once in a while and then they are deleted. Keeps the system lean and fast.
