I need to reformat my computer, as it is running very slowly. What I need to know is how I can do this without losing the BOINC Data. I have copied all data to a backup drive, but how do I reinstall without losing the data Boinc has gotten so far? Is there some way to tell it to upload the data it has at this moment? Please advise...

If you backup the entire /program files/BOINC directory and all subdirectories, you could actually load it all back up and keep crunching when you've completed the reload.

Otherwise, the simplest way to call a graceful end for Rosetta would be to select "no new work" from the project's tab, then suspend any WUs you haven't yet started, and exit and restart BOINC 5 times. This will cause the watchdog to end the WU and report back the sucessful models you've completed.

Another way would be to change your WU runtime preference to an hour, update to the project, and then wait for each existing WU to complete the model it is on. At that point it will notice it's exceeded the new 1hr prefernce and complete the WU.
