Guys, another thought ...

Is there a decent text on this area of science? I have some general Bio stuff, but, maybe a short reading list?

What the heck, I must read a couple hundred books a year, what is one more ... :)

I'd recommend the first several chapters of Biochemistry by Stryer

Good lord, do you know the price of the latest version?

Well, I found a 1975 version used, so I will start there (well, I ordered a couple other books on the side ... we will see how I do when they get here ..).

Older versions of biochemistry textbooks are fine for background, in fact they are in some sense better because they focus more on the core material.
