Ray passed away at age 82 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. After leading Novell to a dominent position in the networking market, they lost market share while trying to attack M$ on the application front as well. Acquiring WordPerfect turned out to be a poor choice. Decisions made at later companies he's headed seem even worse..

Perhaps this would be an opportunity to get Novell and the other two firms associated with Ray to donate some unused cpu cycles to projects like this that can benefit Alzheimer's research. Anyone have any good ideas on how to do so?
