I had a work unit crash tonight with an unrecoverable error; I had to kill it from the Windows task manager:

10/20/2006 8:19:48 PM|rosetta@home|Unrecoverable error for result 2tif__BOINC_NEWRELAXFLAGS_DOUBLEFARLXCYCLES_ABRELAX_SAVE_ALL_OUT__1287_2832_0 ( - exit code 1073807364 (0x40010004))

Here are the log entries for my system:

10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Starting BOINC client version 5.4.11 for windows_intelx86
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||libcurl/7.15.3 OpenSSL/0.9.8a zlib/1.2.3
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Data directory: C:Program FilesBOINC
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Processor: 2 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Memory: 1022.09 MB physical, 2.40 GB virtual
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Disk: 145.27 GB total, 122.96 GB free
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM|rosetta@home|URL: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/; Computer ID: 272841; location: home; project prefs: default
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Local control only allowed
10/20/2006 6:12:47 PM||Listening on port 31416

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 on a Dell 8400.

Is this a known issue? Is that series of work units a problem? Is there something I should do?

I think that error has been mentioned in the 'report error in 5.32 rosetta program'. You'll find it and more info in the Number Crunching section on the main message boards.

They are looking into some of the errors.
