Howdy All, New to Rosetta (Boinc) as I installed it yesterday it all appears ok until it goes to download the file necessary to start crunching numbers. In the list of messages, I get this one: 10/23/06 5:02:50 PM|rosetta@home|Temporarily failed download of rosetta_5.32_windows_intelx86.exe: http error I have checked the server(s) status and they all appear to be up and running. Is there a way to verify the http location? Any suggestions? Regards, Zander |

Howdy All, In windows (replace with linux/Mac version is you use them) Normal problems are A firewall is blocking boinc.exe and boincmgr.exe and boinc.scr, allow them through. You use a proxy server (i.e. a Company or University) and you have not entered the details. Though looking at your coputer you have 2 Optereons using WinXP, so they have contacted, though it could still be a firewall. A little more on related setup may help (basic computer info, isp type etc..) Though I do remember somepeople having problems download the large file .exe You can download it from [urlhttps://boinc.bakerlab.org/download/rosetta_5.32_windows_intelx86.exe[/url] and place in in the boinc/project/*rosettasomethingorotherfolder* P.S.
