I installed the newest version of BOINC, and it now detects my CPU and OS differently, and will not allow me to combine the computer record from before I reinstalled with the new version. Is there a way to fix this? |

I installed the newest version of BOINC, and it now detects my CPU and OS differently, and will not allow me to combine the computer record from before I reinstalled with the new version. Is there a way to fix this? I also have this problem. I waited for the older entry to clear all of its work units and still cannot merge. Outside of the new version of BOINC, I know of no other changes to this PC. Please advise. Does anyone have an answer to this? To find a stable version I have had to change from the newer tgz install to the OS's package install. The package is quite a bit older and I can not get them to merge at all. |

Yeah, me too, I couldn't meger. After wasting several hours, I finally gave up and reinstalled the older version of Boinc. ski_ya_later, Tom |

I have this same problem but it doesn't concern me at all... the irritating things I find no info about do though. |
