Consider using a proper forum like phpbb (free) or VBulletin (cost) And/also merging your the Q&A with the chat (i.e. on the same page) Team mauisun.org |

You will find that all BOINC projects apart from one use these forums its the standard layout that gets installed for each project, there are some advantages of using this board everyones stats get shown when they post and you only need to log into the BOINC page once, if it was another forum you wold have to login once for anything to do with BOINC and then once to access/post in the forums unless you always stay logged in. I have gotten used to these forums now and you can set up some preferences for the forums such as turning all sigs off and a host of other options which I cant remember right now Join us in Chat (see the forum) Click the Sig Join UBT |

Most forums run off a centralised database (MySQL etc...) so the logon info etc can be link just as it is with this forum. May take one of the board people to make the needed stuff of some hack but then phpbb has plenty of them and people doing it. We don't have features like, post since last vist, post since last day etc... But just a thought on a nicer to use forum. Although it is quick :D Team mauisun.org |
