I've looked at topics and don't see exactly what I'm looking for. Being new I just installed the client (as a service) in WinXP Pro and from what I can see it hasn't run at all since I installed it last night. I set up a new team and the preferences looked OK to me. At first it kept telling me I didn't have enough disk space yet when I look in my preferences it was set to 100Gbytes (what's normal here for a team profile? I have to have it set so the other members don't have problems) This morning I see new messages (see pic) and still no action????? Please help me get the team going here. Thanks. |

One thing is Boinc does not like that 100gig figure if you do not have that free on your HD, you need to set it to a number that reflects your free space... Check the WIKI for more info on running a service. Step by step by step Guide for Getting started in BOINC BOINC Wiki |

one thing i can see is you haven't edited the general preferences. open that up and make sure "Do work while computer is in use"? is changed to yes Use no more than 2 GB disk space that should get you some action. oh yeah....from one newbie to this project to another, welcome! why is the date off on your log file? |
