I'm getting the following messages when Boinc is try to get new work for the Rosetta project:
11/16/2007 7:25:04 PM|rosetta@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work
11/16/2007 7:25:04 PM|rosetta@home|Requesting 11051 seconds of new work
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 505]
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Message from server: No work sent
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Message from server: (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated)
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Message from server: BOINC will delete file DunbrackBBDepRots12.dat.gz when no longer needed
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Got server request to delete file DunbrackBBDepRots12.dat.gz
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Deferring communication for 4 hr 0 min 0 sec
11/16/2007 7:25:09 PM|rosetta@home|Reason: requested by project

Now what is really odd is that I do have plenty of disk space, over 280 GB free, but for some reason Rosetta doesn't seem to think I have enough roo. I'm also running climateprediction, einstein, QMC, and SETI none of which are haing any problems. DOes anyone have any clue as to why this may be happening? Thanks.

in the settings you have specified a amount of gb boinc is to use in total, it could be that seti and the other projects are filling up that space, so there is no space left for our rosie. you should try to set it a little higher, as i know having 5/6 WU's in stock it should take less then 100 mb

Thanks as I mentioned I have 10GB allocated for Boinc total of which the other projects are only using a little over 2Gb. That leaves over 8Gb of free space for Rosetta. My system hung recently and I was wondering if that may have done something to a registry entry or something along those lines. I have detached from the project and reattached with no change. I have reset the project but with no change. I'm running out of things to do or check and if I can't get it resolved I guess I'll just have to drop from the project and find something else to join. Thanks for your help.

I believe BOINC partitions out the disk space based on the resource share, so if Rosetta had an 80% resource share of the machine, that would be correct. But it probably doesn't.

Have you perhaps overridden your disk space preferences localling on that machine? The first few messages as BOINC starts will confirm how much disk space it feels it is allowed to use overall.

and what about percentage of available disk space to use, and minimum disk space that needs to be free?
