looks like i am finally climbing out of the hole again
running steady at 4ghz 98% of the time.
some times i have to turn it down to as low as 3.85 to keep the temp around 71-72c.
cool weather helps, haven't had a day above the 20c or 70f mark in a long time.

I overclocked my E8400 to 4.4 Ghz with a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L mobo.

nice, I got up to 4.3 once but then it crashed. you would have to look at one of my compute errors awhile back. but it looked like it was a memory access error, best as i could tell. pushing it 1g above its "actual" clock speed is pretty good.
