i have a Q6600 and it seems to be running two projects at once in the manager. im all fine with this, id run four(if i could figure how i did it in the first place lol) but my main issue is i don't think its reporting because i have two other machines that have produced credits while this one has been doing the work of those two combined and gotten nothing. i couldn't honestly care less about credits, im only interested in the goal this project has but this quad core monster is up 24/7 and so thats a lot of work it could be doing. anyone know whats going on or can shed a bit of light on my ignorance :-P thnx a bunch for your help in advance |

As you are viewing this message, click the link at the top of the page for "Participants", then go in to your "computing preferences" for the venue of the quad, and review the setting for "On multiprocessors, use at most...". You want that to be at least 4, assuming you would like to run all four cores. This value can be overridden locally on a machine in the preferences. If these are both set to 4, and you have completed an update to the project, then review the list of tasks in the Advanced view of the BOINC Manager. What is the status shown for the tasks? Are any "waiting for memory"? Looking at your quad, it looks like it got a few errors on the first few tasks, and that no others have been reported back yet. Reporting the results is a two step process. First "uploading", and then "report". BOINC will take care of this automatically, but if you have some tasks "waiting to report", you can complete the process by doing an update to the project from the Advanced View's projects tab. No, the errors didn't seem familar. See the Number Crunching board where there is always a "sticky" thread called "problems with ..." for each Rosetta version (which is shown in the result page at the bottom). Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
