About a week ago, all of my computers stopped being able to access the Rosetta project. I now have about a dozen or so finished workunits that have not been able to upload for at least 4 days, some longer. Some of them are now past their deadlines and still will not upload. I have not been able to access the main Rosetta WEB page either. ( I am posting from a friends computer) My computers can access all other BOINC projects I participate in and I have no problem accessing any other WEB sites. Anyone have any ideas why my computers would suddenly no longer be able to access this one site? I have made no changes to any of the systems. The Rosetta servers just suddenly became unreachable. |

Hi Gandalf, I read a similar post in Q&A – website. Guessing its a technical problem from R@H I sent a private message to Modsense to alert him to this post. Hopefully the problems will be solved soon, Path7. |

chinookfoehn I have the same problem, would someone please advise be why Rosetta has banished me? All I have done is join BOINCstats BAM! and my IP address has now been blocked. I talked with my IP provider who state they do not block Rosetta. I am now at an in-laws house to confirm as they use the same provider. I am able to connect through their address thus confirming it is a Rosetta block. If Rosetta does not want me to do work for them, that is their prerogative but it would be courteous if they would tell me the reason for the banishment. chinookfoehn(ChinookFöhn) |

I've forwarded a note to the Project Team. I know they had to block some IP address ranges to defend against a DNS attack recently, which was coming from multiple IP addresses. If the IP you gave is in that range, then at least we know why it was blocked. It becomes a question of when they can unblock it again. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Well, I hope this problem can be corrected quickly and I certainly hope that I receive credit for the work I have completed in good faith for the project. |

Gandalf, I see your machine has since contacted the project. I presume that means things are back to normal now. If not be sure to let us know. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Yes. everything seems to be back to normal again. All the overdue work units have transferred and new work has been downloaded. Thanks much for your help in getting this resolved. It is greatly appreciated! |
