Is it a bug or it does not have checkpoints?

How frequently checkpoints are taken is dependant upon the specific type of task you are talking about, not the version of Rosetta. Most types of tasks do checkpoint. And most of those checkpoint every 15min or more. ...but there are still a few exceptions. Don't worry, if they get restarted without having made a checkpoint the watchdog will clear them out and you will get some other work. Can't recall if it is on the 4th or 5th restart that the watch dog will kick it out.
