My computer blocks BOINC from starting up at login. Each time I restart I have to right-click on the icon in the system tray and tell it to run the program and then Vista asks if I'm sure I want to run the program! Is there any setting I can change that will tell the operating system that it's ok to run BOINC at startup? |

See if the steps detailed over here work for you. Very cool! Thank you very much. I am much happier now that the program starts on its own and Vista is none the wiser. Now I will try and tweek the task where the program still appears running in the system tray, but is hidden until I click 'Open BOINC Manager'. Thanks again for the help. |

Glad that worked for you. I'll just revised the thread title here to include "Vista" so others might more easily find it. So you'll be getting an automated EMail notifying you of the change to the thread. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
