Hello ~

With rosetta_beta 5.98 running, I am noticing pages on my Firefox 3.0.1 take a LONG time to load. Looking at Task Manager, I notice rosetta_beta_5. is using all available processor capacity and continues to run after I make a new page request in Firefox. When I suspend rosetta_beta_5. Firefox performs just fine.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your service~

By default, Rosetta should be running at a very low priority, and your browser should be running at a much higher priority. Browsers typically spend much of their time waiting for data to come across the network, and during that wait, other tasks can use the CPU without impacting your browsing performance. Since you are seeing an impact to your browser performance, it implies something else is going on. Either the machine is memory constrained, in which case you might consider setting BOINC to keep suspended tasks in memory and to suspend when the computer is in use. Or, perhaps the run priorities have been changed from their defaults.
