I am using a laptop for this project. I am new to this, and I am wondering if it will still work if I were to close my laptop? |

It depends on what you have configured your laptop to do when you close it. Most hybernate. No work gets down during hybernate. On a laptop, you can generally just check the fan and heat levels and tell if any crunching is going on. You can also set your computing preferences to run BOINC at less then 100% of CPU if you like. This helps your machine run cooler. But at the sacrifice of getting less work done per period of time. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
