I asked over at BURP and this was the answer: They are saved as png's and then gzipped. However, the gzip doesn't do much as the png format is pretty far compressed already. Join us in Chat (see the forum) Click the Sig Join UBT |

I asked over at BURP and this was the answer: BURP will probably use png as they're rendering so that'll be the completed scene being sent back. Just looking around I see SIMAP@Home http://boinc.bio.wzw.tum.de/boincsimap/ are using strong compressing algorithms ? Team mauisun.org |
