I have a something running on each of two of my PCs Drats4 and Drats5. They don't seem to want to stop, and have had 00:09:55 in the time to completeion for some time, although the CPU time being used is increasing.

Should I abort them or hope they will finish by themselves?

Details:
DRATS5:
Rosetta Mini 1.34
abinitio_nohomfrag_70_A_2iiyA_4466_42939_1
18:14:00 99.094% 00:09:55

and
DRATS4:
Rosetta Mini 1.34
1louA_BONIC_ABRELAX_IGNORE_THE_REST-S25-9-S3-3--1louA-_4625_4709_0
16:32:34 99.032% 00:09:55

The CPU time uses keeps increasing and the time to completion increases very slowly.

Many thanks

There is a thread discussing long running models. If you are saying they both have run more then 15 hours, if you have a default 3 hour runtime preference, and they are still on model 1 then the watchdog will probably have ended them by the time you read this, but yes. If they are still on model one (see the graphic) I would abort them, and post a reference to them in the thread linked above.

They will likely complete on their own eventually, but they aren't meeting the guidelines posted in the above thread, so you would be getting more useful work done by ending them and starting something new.

Hi,

As you said the jobs will finish by themselves, I decided to let them go until at least the report deadline date.

One of the jobs has just finished, and took over 40 hours of CPU time.

As the other one may also close by itself I will let that go as well.

Thanks for the advice.
