Did you use another Boinc version earlier and got the error? You can only try to restart your computer, using another Boinc version or do a reset the project.

I've tried the lot! Uninstalled previous versions, re-installed new version, restarted computer several times, reset the project several times, detached the project and re-atached. Still the same problem.

So the only thing is to check the components like ram and cpu (memtestx86) :(

Could it be that Rosetta needs .net components that don't come with Win2k?

I saw something with "random seed", the linker might want to use mscoree.dll for the randomizer

Another idea : Does Rosetta try to initialize the graphics even if it isn't needed and could this be the problem? When I start Rosetta standalone, it opens a graphics window with chaotic colors and stuff in it for a moment.

Ok, no rosetta for me, half of the results crash, the other half gets lost as the server contact is bad but still gets counted as delivered

It runs without BOINC, I don't see why it should require a certain (bloated) BOINC version then.

p.s.: This doesn't mean that I'm not willing to retry, when the bugs are fixed

I am using BOINC 5.2.13, still having problems with client error.
I still have 0 results despite number crunching for 2 weeks.
Going back to predictor and einstein and seti until this problem is sorted out.

I am new to all this distributed computing and find it interesting, but I also have had problems with Rosetta where I did not with others. I would say only 1 or 2 "projects" out of twenty or so have worked without getting a client error message and not getting credted for the points.

any suggestions?

thanks,

York
