Hi Folks my problem just started two days ago (rec'd windows update) and I think this started my problem.
Computation stops and displays this message:
Program...... Kerlab.org_rosettaminirosetta_2.15_windows_intelx86.exe
this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
contact application support team.

To prevent my machine from hanging I have suspended rosetta--hope there is a fix.
Thanks

I have just detached from the project because in the past 24 hours every work unit I received caused this exact error. This doesn't just freeze up the graphics or screensaver, but actually shuts down the computation until the program is restarted. I left the project a year ago for a very similar reason, and am very disappointed that the work units have seemingly gone bad.

The changes introduced in v2.15 that seem to have caused some problems have now been removed in the v2.16 version which is now being used.

I'm having the same problem (as of 10-10-2010); and for now I have suspended all tasks, and exited the app (as it also uses up almost all of my 6GB of RAM when this error occurs). Hopefully something can be fixed soon.

Hi,
I've got the same problem at a lot of my customers computers.
If it's not solved within the next days I must deinstall the project from all the computers, that makes about 7.000 of work a day !

Please help to avoid the error massages displayed to the PC-users !

greetings from Germany
Rico Müller

Rico, are you having memory problems as described here? Hopefully my reply there will pertain to your situation as well. If not, please describe what you are observing in the thread on the Number Crunching board for the appropriate Rosetta version that is encountering the problem.

If it's of any help; I was able to figure out that my problems were all due to tasks that had 'lrlx' in the name of the tasks (as seen in Boinc Manager; under the 'Tasks' tab). I aborted all remaining 'lrlx' tasks, and it solved the problems I was having. No more errors, and memory usage is back to normal!
