I have run a few work units of Rosetta, but as each one completes, there is no new work downloaded unless I manually RESET the project - shouldn't rosetta download a new work unit?? see message stream below - notice how there is no request for new work - how do I fix this?

You don`t need to reset the project. If you are running more than one project like seti and rosetta and you have enough wus from seti, boinc is going into EDF-Mode (earliest deadline first) and you can`t get any new work (depending on cache size). You can also try to suspend seti and rosetta is dl new WUs

You need to go to view computers and merge the 2 hosts ....

Not requesting new work or reporting results, means one of three things:

The computer has too much work on hand already to meet deadlines reliably.

The project has enough work on hand, and the computer is not desperate for work.

The project has used too much CPU time for its resource share recently and is blocked from requesting more for a while.

In all of these cases, the best thing to do is to leave it alone, and it will fetch more work when it is ready.

4.45 had a bug where work that was completed and not reported yet (still in the list) was counted as in progress (and sometimes would prevent work download). If this occurs, force a report of the work in question, and the problem should be fixed.

This particular bug is supposed to be fixed in 4.72 and later.

suspending SETI seems to work - SETI has a lot of uploads and downloads pending (can't contact server) - I'll run this way for a week or so and see if SETI gets there servers working. thanks
