Hi,
Minirosetta (3.43) keeps opening up windows that look like the screen saver. When I close the window it opens another, this is particularly annoying. The only way to stop this behavior was to susspend rosetta. I'd like to keep contributing but not if this is required behavior.
So, my question is this how can I stop it opening windows and why is it doing i?
I'm using Boinc 7.0.28 64 bit
Thanks
Adam

Same problem here. Minirosetta pops up two windows with the frameworks for the visual display, but no info, just black squares inside the frames. I close them, and a couple of hours later they pop up again. Latest version of Minirosetta under Windows XP Pro 64-bit. This has been happening for the past two days.

Same problem here started today.

Screenshot

The window forces itself open but doesn't run at all. No progress is shown in the window or in BOINC. It uses practically no CPU time in the system monitor and 20388 K of memory.

Closing the window sends the Elapsed time in BOINC back to 0 and the window reopens as before.

Mine started this morning. I'm gonna leave them there until R@H posts an advisory. I suspect the affected projects would be aborted.

Yes, same issue. 3.43 is popping up graphic windows (5 of them) all over my screen. Will have to suspend rosetta until resolved.

Same thing here - just started yesterday. I upgraded to Win8 a couple weeks ago, and had been using Win8 RP prior to that, but have not had a problem until yesterday.

Hello, I too have the same problem. Running Win7 64 bit. Last night windows did some updates. When I logged back in, I was greeted with non stop mini rosetta pop ups.

I'm having the same issue. It's not your projects. I believe its the new version 3.43 that came out.

It seems to me to be realted to 3.43 indeed. I've had 3.41 running fine and 3.43 doing nuttin' at the same manchine.

Is there anyone who is running 3.43 that does complete WUs?

Its to do with them releasing an NVIDIA version and they have messed up the shared memory handling. Hopefully someone is awake and will roll back the version to one that works until they can fix it...

I've a NVIDIA GT 530 with driver v306.23 since the 25th of September 2012 and I hadn't a problem until this morning.
Using processor i3-2120, Win7 64b, BOINC 7.0.28 x64

Suspended all Rosetta instances pending resolution. 7.0.28 (x64) on WinXP x64, but I believe the issue is unrelated to BOINC version.
