Hi Viktor, No, BOINC is a programme that makes you computers idle time available to Distributed Computing applications, such as Seti@home and Rosetta@home. To join Rosetta: BOINC Manager->Projects->Attach to Project With the new BOINC versions it should now open a wizard to step you through the process. If you need some more help please give us a yell HTH |

I had been using BOINC for the SETI project. I do not see ATTACH TO PROJECT on the MAC program. I see DETACH in the PROJECTS menu. Help! What version of BOINC Manager are you running? Prior to V5.x, "attach" was a button in the left-side bar; after V5.x, it's in the Projects menu. If you're running anything before V5.2.13, I would recommend upgrading - simply download the "Standard GUI" version, stop the current BOINC, and run the installer. It should overlay everything properly, with no lost work. IF, however, you are running something prior to V4.43, you should back everything up and "uninstall" the old version before installing the new. Someone else who is familiar with the process will have to help you, I didn't have any before 4.43. |
