Un-necesssssary, as not only are you running multiple projects, so at least one of them will have work available at any given time, but the server issue here isn't one affecting work availability. People keep suggesing this. I am signed up for six projects and Rosetta and WCG are the only ones that send out work. And in the past, WCG was nearly down for about two years, so does it count? And ClimatePredicion does not send me Linux work in many months and their web site is currently down.. ![]() |

I haven't completed any tasks from the new batch yet, but I just checked anyway. 13 now and the first of the new batch wlll finish in about an hour too. Looks like they solved those task errors ![]() ![]() |

In which case, if you really feel the need to keep you system running, set the cache to as little as possible (0.1 days and 0.01 additional days) & set the Target CPU run time for Rosetta Tasks higher eg 24hrs (or 36 if you feel the need).Un-necesssssary, as not only are you running multiple projects, so at least one of them will have work available at any given time, but the server issue here isn't one affecting work availability. Otherwise if only one project has work, your cache will fill up with that. If the other projects then get work, you may not get any due to your cache being full from that one project. With the longer Rosetta runtime and the small cache, when multiple projects do have work then your system won't be full of work from just the one project and so will still be able to get some of the new work from those other projects. And if not, it will still be busy doing Rosetta Tasks (when they're available). And you won't have issues with missing deadlines from having your cache at the absolute limit for Rosetta work. Unnecessary, as not only are you running multiple projects, so at least one of them will have work available at any given time, but the server issue here isn't one affecting work availability. I have found the majority of the Biology/Medicine projects except for Rosetta at Home and World Community Grid are simply not active. I run both of those and then have Asteroids at Home setup for a backup using "0" resource. So it only downloads when some of my CPU cores/threads are not busy. Other choices include Gaia at Home, Milkyway at Home and PrimeGrid. If you have gpus you can also run Asteroids, Milkyway and PrimeGrid at home. Einstein at Home almost always have CPU tasks. And loads of GPU tasks too. While I want to run all the Biology/Medicine projects I can the only Biology research project I run on my NVIDIA gpus is GpuGrid. It is intermittent so I only run it on one of my gpus. The other two are always running Einstein at home. Some of my teammates run GpuGrid on all their NVIDIA gpus when it is available and then run another GPU project when it is not, by setting the backup GPU project at a much lower resource level than the GpuGrid project.
