I created an account, and in the BIONC messages there was one saying "Fetching config info..." but in the BOINC Projects list it is not there and I have recieved no data to work on. Am I doing something wrong, a missing step somewhere?

Yes sir, you missed the part about attaching to the project, which you really need to do ......
