I signed on to the rosetta@home project about a week ago. Since that time the only message I receive from the BOINC manager is "communication deferred". I am now receiving the same message from the set@home project. Originally the seti@home project did perform work for 4-5 days after signing on to rosetta@home. Now for 2-3 days I am twiddling my thumbs. Can anyone help? John Karaffa john@nursebrokers.com |

When I look at your computers I see one that connected today and has about 50 results assigned to it. Also one that appears to be a duplicate that has not connected in about a week. I'm wondering if you installed BOINC twice rather than attaching the second project to the same BOINC installation. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

When I look at your computers I see one that connected today and has about 50 results assigned to it. Also one that appears to be a duplicate that has not connected in about a week. I also see my 3rd computer listed twice. I'm not sure why. However rosetta is attached properly to all 3 computers, I have checked multiple times. I am receiving work from seti on all 3 computer but to this date (over 1 week now) I have not received anything from rosetta???? Thanks for the help, I just wish it would have helped. Any other suggestions?? |

If there are seti Jobs in the queue then these would (I would have thought) need to be finished before it would contact Rosetta to collect some work from there. Otherwise you would have rosetta work asat there doing nothing with a good change you'll go over the deadlines. You could click on 'Update project' button that is somewhere in BoincManager to see if that helps, but given two of the 4 computers have connected today I guess they are just doing there thing. Your resource share also dictates how much each project gets See if the BOINC WIKI http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki gives you any help. Team mauisun.org |

How many percent have you given to Rosetta in your preferences compare to Seti? |

I have never before been involved is such a shared computer project The idea of using my computer for such a good use is great but I need guidance as to what to expect and what I HAVE to do, if ANYTHING. Is there a 'manual' for such as myself. Who do I contact with to get answwers - or am I doing it? Frank Bradley bradleyfm@aol.com |
